Wanted: My Career Back
It seems a new trend has started among formerly famous actors looking for work. Julie Newmar, formerly the original Cat Woman from the Batman television show, has placed an ad in Ad Week advertising herself as a spokesperson - for anything. I’m not sure about the products that she’s hoping to land, but its certainly not Depends. I can’t even figure out this photo. Now don’t get me wrong, I think she looks fantastic for a 75 year old- really its amazing. But what’s with the office scene and the nightie? Is that a rubber stamp of a hand holding a wand on her thigh? Is this office sitting outside a green house?
Corey Haim has also placed a full page ad in Variety claiming he’s “back, ready to work, and ready to make amends.” It’s like a public apology then a plea to throw him a bone. Is he trying to make up for that time he tried to sell one of his teeth on eBay? Doesn’t his reality show on A&E with Corey Feldman still exist? I actually watched an episode of that. I can’t resist a good celebrity train wreck.
On a side note, I just noticed that he lists his email address which has him at coreyhaim.tv. That’s right, Corey Haim can’t even get CoreyHaim.com, .net, or .org.
I’m curious who will be next. My vote is for David Faustino.

You are right, that Julie picture is so weird.. and the Corey Haim thing is so sad. Perhaps he can start purchasing whole page ads in senior year books.
wow…
